Review | Birdie & Viv Work to Weekend Styles
I am very excited to bring you a review post for Birdie & Viv! I gave an unboxing preview last weekend on insta stories, and now I have a full review and styling. I am very happy with the quality and fit of all these items (especially for the price point!) and will give a little more detail of each with some photos.
First, I was sent the "darla top" - this patterned navy shirt. It has a tunic style neckline in a relatively light fabric. It's really soft and comfortable and I definitely see this as a work staple. Here, I've styled it just with simply navy slacks and my favorite navy heels, and then added a fleece vest. I can also see this top with a scarf or statement necklace on top, and it could easily be tucked into a skirt with tights and boots, or just paired with jeans on the weekend. This is a classic item for your work to weekend wardrobe.

The next items I'm talking about are the "minnie top" and the "cheetah print clutch". This top is super cute and will be a great item for spring/summer. The top half is a comfy striped top with a rolled sleeve, and the bottom is almost like a dress shirt - with an adorable button detail on the back. I really like the slouchy fit of this shirt, it's very comfortable. I've styled it here casually, with jeans, but I could also see this being tucked into black pants or a black skirt and worn with a sweater or blazer to work. I'm also carrying this fun cheetah clutch... is anyone else recently obsessed with cheetah? I've been seeing it all over online and I am just loving it. Currently hunting cheetah flats if anyone has any suggestions :) This textured clutch has a magnetic closure and zips open to a large pocket. I will definitely be using this on date nights and fun occasions where I need something more than my boring black over the shoulder bag.
I am IN LOVE with this outfit. First, let's talk about this top. This GORGEOUS wine colored peplum top is a really comfortable fabric, and I think the fit is great. I'm not usually huge on peplum, but I like how it's a little bit relaxed. There is also this really cute detailing on the neck and sleeves that make it a little bit girly without being overwhelming. So excited about this top that I forgot to call out it's name: the "emma top". I love this top for work, and I also think it would be so cute with jeans or leggings and a slouchy sweater and tall brown boots. I've paired it with navy slacks and nude heels for work. Then, I topped it off with the "floral bomber" from Birdie & Viv. The pattern is so cute and happens to match perfectly with this burgundy top. It has a navy base with a pretty floral pattern. The jacket is pretty light - perfect for fall - but adds an extra layer of interesting to really pull together the outfit. To say I love these pieces is an understatement.
At last... a comfy long sleeve dress! This dress is called the "mindy floral dress". The dress is SO SOFT, and it has pockets!! The length is nice and long. I am 5' 6" and it hits right in the middle of my knee, so I don't feel worried about exposing myself to the world when I bend over or walk down the stairs (hallelujah to that). The floral has pink, chocolate, and blush mixed in which makes it really versatile for styling. I've just added a simple brown leather belt and brown booties, but you could easily add a necklace, vest, cardigan, blazer, or tights and boots. It's a comfy yet stylish piece. I think I know what I'm wearing to my family Thanksgiving this year... because stretchy dresses are always the way to go for that ;)
