Work It | Athletic Wear
Sending something really different at you for the day! I recently got some new work out clothes and wanted to share. My normal gym uniform is plain leggings and an old sorority tank (Kappa Deltas, where are ya?!) but in all honesty, having cute and coordinated athletic clothes makes working out just a little bit more enjoyable.
I got these cute leggings and tank top from Old Navy. The leggings have a twisted detail at the ankle - which, of course, I didn't get a very good picture of, alas. I did a flatlay with them a while ago on Instagram, you can see it below. Check them out though. They're very comfortable, are NOT see through, and actually stay up when I'm running... SHOCKER. Especially for leggings that are only $33 (and usually on sale). My favorite leggings still remain the Fabletics 7/8 Lisette leggings - I have two pairs - but these are a nice addition. This twisted back tank top comes in a couple colors, and is really soft and comfortable. I like that the front has a high neckline. Still not clear who wants to have cleavage at the gym.
The bra and jacket are both from Fabletics. This bra is pretty comfortable and I love the back detailing, but doesn't offer a lot of support. I definitely can't run in this or do anything rigorous, but I'll wear it to a yoga class or just around the house. This could be different for ladies that are less busty. This jacket is super comfy and soft, and I love the thumb-hole details. I never really got the appeal of these until I started running outside. This jacket is perfect for fall/spring runs, and the thumb-holes can keep your hands warm! Lastly, I'm wearing New Balance 860 runners. I had these for about a year, and have recently updated to Nike Zoom Structures - both are great options for stabilizer type shoes.
Two more recommendations - first, I love my FitBit. Partially, because I am obsessed with tracking myself and a data dork, but also because it's kind of pretty. I have the rose gold Alta HR, which has a heart rate monitor and tracks my sleep. I've been using a FitBit for years and love them. Second, for my MN readers, Mill City Running is the best for getting fitted, I highly recommend them!
